1. Scope and Contracting Party

These Terms govern the use of Fjordsaga, a browser-based online strategy game. Provider and contracting party:
IT-Vikings - Lukas Hansen, Kurlandstr. 20, 24960 Glücksburg, Germany (see Legal Notice).

By registering an account, you enter into a user agreement under these Terms. Different user terms do not apply unless we explicitly agree to them in writing.

2. Service Description

Fjordsaga is a browser-based online strategy game that can be played free of charge (free-to-play). Individual convenience and add-on features are available for the virtual currency "Bernstein", which can be purchased for a fee through the official in-game shop (see clause 4 and the Game Rules). Outages, data loss, resets of individual worlds, and changes to mechanics, balance values, or content may still occur. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability, continued existence of individual worlds, or preservation of a specific game state. The current Game Rules are part of these Terms.

3. Registration and User Account

• Registration requires a valid, reachable email address and truthful information.
• Each person may use only one account per world (see Game Rules).
• The account is non-transferable. Selling, trading, or paid transfer of accounts or game progress to third parties is not permitted.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

4. Virtual Items and Bernstein

Resources, buildings, units, and other virtual items in the game are not property in the legal sense and cannot be transferred or traded outside the game. Bernstein is a virtual currency that can only be purchased for a fee through the official in-game shop; the package prices shown there are binding. Purchasing Bernstein, or an add-on feature paid for with it, forms a separate purchase agreement for the respective digital service. As a consumer, you generally have a statutory right of withdrawal for this; see our Withdrawal Information for details, including early expiry once you've given your express consent to immediate performance. Bernstein balances cannot be paid out and, unless the game explicitly offers a transfer feature, cannot be transferred to other accounts.

5. User Obligations

The Game Rules also apply to conduct in the game, communication with other players, and handling of bugs. If these Terms or the Game Rules are violated, we may restrict features, remove content, or temporarily or permanently suspend accounts.

6. Term and Termination

The user agreement runs indefinitely. You may request deletion of your account at any time without giving reasons. We may terminate the agreement for legitimate interest, especially if these Terms or the Game Rules are violated, with reasonable notice or, in severe cases such as fraud or automated abuse, without notice. The right to reset or close an entire world remains unaffected.

7. Liability

We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and as required by product liability law. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation and for injury to life, body, or health. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is assumed for loss of game progress or downtime.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may adjust these Terms, for example when new features require it. We will inform users about material changes in an appropriate way where practical, such as through an in-game notice or email, before they take effect.

9. Final Provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain effective.
